Glenn Schaefering

Glenn Schaefering is a Director for the Crisis Management Incident Response Team. In this role, he is responsible for all training deliveries offered by the Northwell Health System.

Mr. Schaefering joined the Health System in August 2013 as an Emergency Management Coordinator and Hazardous Materials Technician. In this role, Mr. Schaefering was responsible for assisting with the training of system employees and daily response activities.

Mr. Schaefering was a New York State Certified Lab Instructor for over 20 years teaching BCLS, ACLS, EMT-B, and paramedic classes at Northwell's Center for Leaning and Innovation (CLI), as well as, at Queenboro Community College as an Adjunct Professor.

He also served 17 years in his local fire department, rising to the rank of Chief of Department in 1997.

Mr. Schaefering received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from SUNY Empire State College.
