Kayla Keenan

Kayla Keenan is a Emergency Management Program Specialist for Northwell’s Crisis Management and Corporate Security Teams. In this role, she is responsible for coordinating training deliveries and curriculum development efforts.  

Prior to her current role, Ms. Keenan was a Project Coordinator for the Crisis Management Team and coordinated the transfer of COVID-19 vaccinations between system wide facilities and outside organizations.

Before joining Northwell, Ms. Keenan served as Lieutenant for the Town of Hempstead Emergency Medical Services (TOH EMS) and was responsible for patrol operations and managing response efforts in the TOH Emergency Medical Operations Center (EMOC) throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Ms. Keenan has been an active member of the Manhasset Lakeville Fire Department Ambulance Unit since 2017 as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (A-EMT) and has served as the Unit Secretary and now the Second Lieutenant.

Ms. Keenan received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stonybrook University and is the process of completing her master’s degree in health administration from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
