Moira Larmour

Program Manager

Moira Larmour is a Program Manager for Northwell Health’s Crisis Management Team. In this role, she is responsible for delivering and developing emergency management courses for health system employees and stakeholders.

Prior to joining Northwell Health, Ms. Larmour served over 32 years in the Suffolk County Police Department’s (SCPD) Homeland Security Section. In this role, she performed vulnerability assessments for governmental entities and public business. Using her wealth of experience, she was able to deliver various presentations and courses related to active shooter response, safety in the sanctuary, personal safety, the incident command system, and operation safeguard. During this time, Ms. Larmour also had the unique opportunity to develop and conduct Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) compliant exercises for the police department.

Additionally, MS. Larmour was a member of the Suffolk County Incident Management Team and the Suffolk County Decontamination Team. She is also a proud Veteran of the United States Army.

Ms. Larmour’s professional experiences have cultivated her passion for teaching topics related to emergency management, hazardous materials response, public safety, and security. To continuously hone her teaching skills, she is an active New York State Instructor with the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES).

As a member of the Crisis Management Team, Ms. Larmour hopes to provide valuable insight from her professional career to teach others within and outside of the health system how to best be equipped to manage disaster scenarios.

Ms. Larmour received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Long Island University.
