MARO Monthly September 2024 Newsletter: Preparedness Month

 Each September, we observe National Preparedness Month, a nationwide initiative aimed at raising awareness about disaster and emergency preparedness. According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, preparedness is a shared responsibility that spans from individuals in the community to the national level. The overarching goal is to foster a secure and resilient nation, equipped to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk.

In this month's MARO newsletter, we will highlight key national preparedness efforts, essential resources, and upcoming courses designed to equip individuals with the tools necessary to uphold the core capabilities of emergency preparedness. We will provide information on local training sessions, online workshops, and community events that offer hands-on experience and knowledge sharing.
