Russell Fincher

Russell Fincher is a Senior Emergency Management Program Specialist and a member of Northwell’s Crisis Management Incident Response Team.

In this role, he is responsible for responding to disasters and assisting in recovery efforts. He also serves as a liaison to local, state, and federal responders coordination efforts on behalf of the system’s hospitals and practices. Additionally, he is assists in the coordination of training and emergency drills for the hospital system.

Before joining Northwell, Mr. Fincher was a Special Agent Forensic Examiner with the Federal Bureau of Investigation from which he retired after 23 years of service. He brings a strong a crisis management and first responder background to the team with his experience in the FBI, Volunteer Fire Department, and as a leader with Team Rubicon USA, a disaster response organization.

Mr. Fincher received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Susquehanna University. He is also an accomplished Scientist and a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard.
